So many people purchase a puppy for the wrong reasons, each breed of dog has advantages and disadvantages. I would never recommend buying a pup just because it is cute. Often freinds, relatives, neighbors or coworkers have dogs that they enjoy, ask them what they like or dislike about that breed. Size is probably the biggest factor in breed selection, families that are on the go, or with small children or small apartments would probably do better with a chihuahua or poodle cross. Familes with larger homes or children would do well with a beagle or puggle. Families that have the room would do great with boxers, they are great guardians of house and family. People often ask, which is better a male or female, this an individual preference, like coke or pepsi. In general, any pup given proper care, nutrition and love, will love you in return, problems arise when the pup doesnt fit the family dynamic. Ask around, assess yor self or your families needs, then select the pup you think is right.
